Lyrics

Before the foundation of this world was laid
The Father, in Jesus, chose us to be saved
To be ever holy and blameless for Him
Conformed to His image, and cleansed of our sin
Conformed to His image, and cleansed of our sin

Before there was light or the sea or dry land
The Father placed us in the Son's saving hand
Now no one can snatch us from His mighty grasp
We’re ever preserved and secure to the last
We’re ever preserved and secure to the last

Before there was even one star in the sky
The Father decreed that the Son was to die
So pierced for our trespass and crushed for our sin
He poured out His blood to redeem and forgive
He poured out His blood to redeem and forgive

Before the sun first conquered night with the dawn
The Father ordained the most glorious morn
The grave was left empty! Now death has no sting!
He's risen! He's risen! Our triumphant King!
He's risen! He's risen! Our triumphant King!

And now at the fullness of time we will see
All Heaven and Earth reconciled to the King
All glory to God for His great sovereign plan
That myst’ry He willed from before time began
That myst’ry He willed from before time began
